Project Specifications
Common questions from general contractors and project managers.
What stud sizes do you use for partition walls?
Standard partition walls typically use 3-5/8 inch studs at 16-inch or 24-inch on-center spacing. We also install 6-inch studs for plumbing walls or sound-rated assemblies. All installations follow architectural specifications.
Can you install fire-rated partition walls?
Yes, we install fire-rated partition walls including one-hour and two-hour assemblies per UL tested configurations. This is common for demising walls between residential units or tenant separations in commercial buildings.
How do you coordinate with electrical contractors?
We coordinate electrical box locations, install blocking for panel boards, and schedule our framing to allow electrical rough-in. We communicate with electricians throughout the process to ensure proper coordination.
Do you provide backing for wall-mounted items?
Yes, we install wood blocking or metal backing for cabinets, grab bars, handrails, TV mounts, and other wall-mounted fixtures. We coordinate with GC and specialty trades to identify backing requirements.
